Alex Picot’s Tough Guys Victory

The Alex Picot team was victorious at this year’s Tough Guy Jersey race.  Don Connolly, Andy Myers and Sam Luce won the men’s category winning the magnificent trophy. The team fought through six miles of wet, undulating terrain, obstacles, tyres, mud, crawling, climbing, and swings. Congratulations to our very own tough guys.

Tough Guy Jersey is the island’s wackiest, crazy adventure race. This is a charity fund raising event organised by Jersey Adventures and focuses on team work to help complete the course. This challenge, which has been running since 2008, is not for the faint hearted.  The minimum of £30 per entrant sponsorship goes 50:50 to Headway and The CF Research Trust.

Headway supports people in Jersey who have been affected by brain injury.  They provide essential support, information and service. The charity is growing as does the awareness of the amazing work they do.

The CF Research Trust charity is making a daily difference to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis, and those who care for them. To achieve their goal, they fund research to better understand and treat cystic fibrosis, review standards of cystic fibrosis care, and provide information and advice to the CF community.
