At an event organised to coincide with a visit to Jersey by the Girlguiding chief guide Amanda Medler, our operations director Solange Rebours was recently presented with The Silver Fish Award.
The highest honour available in Girlguiding, this award recognises exceptional service, across a wide range of levels in Girlguiding.
Rewarding an individual’s contribution and achievements through their involvement in guiding, in Solange’s case her commitment spans many years and roles, most recently as Chief Commissioner for Girlguiding South West England.
Solange has made a substantial impact through a variety of roles within the organisation over many years and is one of only a handful of recipients of the award; to top it off she is the first person in Jersey to receive The Silver Fish award.
Solange celebrated her achievement accompanied by family and friends, and was joined by former and current Alex Picot Trust directors.
Huge congratulations to Solange on this very well deserved recognition from Girlguiding. We are all extremely proud to see her commitment rewarded in this way and feel very luck to have her as part of our leadership team at Alex Picot Trust. Solange is a worthy recipient of this award and has become well known in the Island through her involvement with girlguiding. Well done Solange.
