Supporting the 33rd Island Walk

A 2am wake up call followed by a 48 mile walk in the wind and rain isn't for everyone, but for hundreds of people each year the Island Walk represents a unique opportunity to explore the coast of Jersey, test personal limits and raise funds for charity.

In June, two of our colleagues from Alex Picot Trust faced a gruelling 12 hour walk in unseasonable weather to complete the 2024 Island Walk.

Following the coastline of Jersey, the 48-mile course challenges individuals and relay teams of all ages and abilities.

Mollie Luce (Assistant Accounts Manager) and Zach O’Shea (Senior Trust Officer) joined over 600 fellow walkers to complete the individual challenge, both crossed the finish line around 12 hours after starting at 3am on Saturday 15th June.

We are extremely impressed with their commitment and the effort required to complete this endurance event. Well done to Mollie and Zach, you are both role models for the rest of us.

Raising money for local charities, the event has been organised for over 30 years during which fundraising has exceeded £2.8 Million.
