Why are you keen to be involved in the Pride of Jersey Awards?
Having been part of Jersey for over 140 years, we’ve seen first-hand the strength of its community and the people behind it. We love that the Pride of Jersey Awards are a chance to celebrate the people who make a difference across the island and recognise the things that can sometimes go unnoticed. Jersey is a small island, but there are so many people doing great things for others, and we’re really pleased to be part of an event that celebrates that.
Why did the Volunteer/Fundraiser of the Year category particularly appeal to you?
The Volunteer/Fundraiser of the Year category really appealed to us because supporting our community is something that’s important to us. There are so many people who give their time, energy and support to help others, often without expecting anything in return. This award gives us a chance to recognise those people, hear their stories and celebrate the difference they make to individuals and families across Jersey.
Why is it important to recognise individuals who do good for the community in Jersey?
One of the things I think is special about living on a small island like Jersey is that we are often closer to the good that people do. Their time, generosity and support can have an impact on our friends, our families or even on us personally, but we don’t always know who is behind it or get the chance to say thank you.
That is why it’s so important to recognise these people. The Pride of Jersey Awards are a great way to celebrate the incredible things people are doing across Jersey and give them the recognition they deserve. It’s also a chance to showcase just how much good happens on our island and hopefully inspire others to get involved and make a difference too
What is it about Pride of Jersey that resonates with your company brand, image or ethos?
Pride of Jersey resonates with us because it’s about people, community and making a positive difference — all things that are important to us. We have been a part of Jersey for over 140 years and are proud of the legacy we have built, but we are also passionate about supporting the future of the island. The awards are a great way to celebrate the people who make Jersey such a special community, and we’re proud to support something that recognises the difference they’re making today and the role they will play in shaping its future.
What will you be looking for in this year’s winners?
As our first year sponsoring the Volunteer/Fundraiser of the Year award, we can’t wait to hear the stories of the people who give so much to others and meet some of the people behind these incredible acts of kindness. We’ll be looking for those who go above and beyond, dedicate themselves to helping others and make a real difference to people’s lives and our community.
